Asked a question last month

Hi. My existing subscribers aren't being tagged when they opt-in to a new landing page - and I need them to be tagged. For ex: an existing subscriber was tagged automatically with Workshop1 tag when she originally subscribed. When she opted in for the latest event, Workshop2, she didn't get tagged and therefore never received any emails associated with that tag. I need to figure out how to add new tags to existing subscribers when they opt-in to something new (landing page, product, etc). I've read many responses already here but none that address this particular concern. I'm on a paid plan.

I assume you already created a rule that will tag subscribers once they sign up to your landing page. There are many possible reasons why a subscriber is not being added to automation. One of those is the subscriber might sign up to the landing page before the automation; since the automation is not retroactive, the automation will only work for new sign-ups after it was created.
